During my nutrition consultations, I ask clients about their sleep and recovery and usually receive a long pause and blank look.
Sometimes followed by "I don't know really". As a new person to exercise, or even those that have caught the "fitness bug", recovery, sleep and mobility is rarely thought as important as the training and eating well itself.
Good recovery is what will prevent you from injury.
Good sleep will keep you strong, recovered and on top of your game. Lack of sleep will feel like an ultimate hangover and have you reaching for that sugar and caffeine to get you through your day....and maybe a bit more for training.
Mobility will keep you injury free, enable you to get to the bottom of that squat, overhead position, remove the lactic acid from your muscles and keep you supple and ready to hit your sessions. However it can be a lot to think about.
Training, eating and ensuring you get that recovery....where to start?
Keep on top of your A game and be the ultimate you and get in touch to train with me.
